Cub is a digital learning consultant in the Oregon State University Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Ecampus. He develops resources and faculty development programming around teaching and learning with AI; hybrid, blended and flipped pedagogy; and resilient teaching.
Since the emergence of generative AI in higher education, Cub has been at the forefront of CTL’s AI in Teaching and Learning efforts and Ecampus guidance for the use of AI tools. He guides AI faculty learning communities, facilitates workshops and webinars, and consults one-on-one with faculty.
Cub earned a B.A. in environmental sciences (University of Virginia), an M.S. in marine sciences (LSU), and an Ed.D. in technology education (West Virginia University). He taught geography and environmental sciences prior to moving into faculty development.
