Demian Hommel is an Associate Professor of Teaching in Geography and Geospatial Science in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science and a 2025–26 AI in Teaching and Learning Fellow with OSU’s Center for Teaching and Learning. His work explores how generative AI can support inclusive, student-centered learning. Through collaborative policy-making and classroom experimentation, Demian aims to help faculty and students navigate ethical, disciplinary, and pedagogical questions around AI with clarity, care, and creativity.
