Hannah Rempel
Hannah is currently the Research and Learning department head and College of Agricultural Sciences subject librarian at Oregon State University, where she has worked for over 20 years. She has co-authored two books, Understanding Student Development: A Practical Guide and co-edited a two-volume set of books titled Teaching Critical Reading Skills: Strategies for Academic Librarians, published by ACRL Publications. Her research focuses on areas including graduate student needs in the library, fostering curiosity, learning through play, and technology uses in the library.
She is currently co-developing a graduate-level course on the professional implications of AI. She has previously taught classes on learning through play and creating online tutorials. She has facilitated many library workshops on searching for scholarly literature, organizing sources using Zotero, and strategies for researching the literature review. She has also co-taught workshops on using AI tools designed for literature review searching, summarizing, and analyzing.
